Out of School Care

Our After School Club is run by the experienced Mrs Jean Brown and Mrs Hazel Fraser in the enviable setting of Newfield House. Newfield House is situated on Loretto campus, in front of the vast expanse of Loretto Playing Fields, beside the River Esk. As well as having spacious and swish newly refurbished indoor facilities, there is a sizable garden for the children to enjoy.

The After School Club caters for 25 children from Years One, Two and Three of Loretto Junior School. Jean and Hazel walk the children the short distance from the Junior School to the After School Club at the end of the School day at 3 15 pm. They also collect children from their Extra Curricular Activities at 4 pm.

Once the children have arrived, a snack is provided in this calm and relaxed setting which is, quite literally, set amongst the surrounding tree tops. After snack, the children may complete their homework in a specially set up quiet area of the room, participate in board games, do jigsaws, enjoy creative pursuits with art and craft materials, read stories, build with construction toys, engage in role-play and enjoy the great outdoors. Supper is cooked on the premises by our own Chef and is served at 5 pm.

After School Club runs sessions during term time until 6.30 pm, Monday to Friday. This facility is charged by the hour. A Fee Sheet is available. Out with term times, there is Holiday Club provision available for Junior School and Nursery children.
